Devotionals 2020 The Root of Righteousness Week 46
As we continue to approach the season of Thanksgiving, I am reminded of one particular Scripture that has profoundly affected my love for God and His Word. Psalm 119 has been called by some the Mt. Everest of the Psalms. We don’t know who penned it, but for sure it is inspired! Verses 137-142 catch my eye today: Righteous are You, O LORD, And upright are Your judgments. You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness. My zeal has consumed me! Because my adversaries have forgotten Your words. Your word is very pure; therefore your servant loves it. I am small and despised, Yet I do not forget Your precepts. Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Your law is Truth.
Thank you, Lord for such reassuring truth! Amen.
